Hi, thanks for finding me. I am a late-diagnosed woman with AuDHD, raising two neurodivergent boys. My youngest was diagnosed with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance when he was three, and my oldest son has ADHD. I am married to my best friend of over 20 years, Drew. Together, we raise not only our neurosparkly boys, but also our favorite children–our four Siamese cats.
I have always had a passion for writing, and just could not find a niche to write about. Since my son’s diagnosis, my greatest passion has been learning about neurodivergence, and my favorite stress reliever has been writing.
I am a lifelong overachiever, always future-focused and model student and employee. Before my sons’ diagnoses, I never would have even considered being neurodivergent myself. Learning about my sons opened my eyes to lifelong inward struggles, so I sought my own evaluation.
I created this blog to share my experience as a neurodivergent mother raising neurodivergent children. This is an experience full of competing demands, but also full of laughter, love, and magic. As I’ve told my little guy, the magic comes after you face the scary parts.
I hope there is something for you here. Whether you are here to learn, to relate, or because a Google search led you astray, welcome.
